Ingredients of the Hemp Plant

CBD is the all-rounder among all ingredients of our CBD oil Sativa Cell. This non-psychoactive substance helps to take your mind off work, sleep better and feel good all around - in a completely natural way.

Cannabidiolic acid is considered the precursor to cannabidiol (CBD). It shows similar effects as CBD and is thus also analgesic as well as anxiety-relieving.

Delta-9-THC, or just THC, is considered a psychoactive substance, which is why products manufactured in Switzerland must not exceed a limit of 1%. Like CBD, THC has an extensive range of effects, including inhibition of pain and nausea, as well as anxiety-relieving effects. All the effects are triggered by the binding to the two receptors CB1 and CB2.
In our products, this ingredient is strictly regulated and does not exceed 0.2%.

In the hemp plant, THC is mostly present as the acid version, i.e. THCA. As the THCA is the precursor of THC, it is converted to THC by heating only. Nevertheless, THCA also already exhibits these effects. Studies prove the high effectiveness of THCA for Parkinson's disease.

Instead of cannabinoid receptors, vanilloid receptors are activated by CBDV. This leads to the inhibition of the degradation of endocannabinoids and thus the effectiveness of the other cannabinoids can be increased. Furthermore, CBDV is anti-inflammatory and inhibits nausea and vomiting.

Very low concentrations of CBG are present in the plant only but it shows the same effects as those of CBD and CBDA. In addition, some antibiotic and antifungal property has been demonstrated.

CBC is ideal as a support because this cannabinoid enhances pain relief from THC and helps reduce edema. CBC is thought to have a positive effect on nerve cells, which could have a positive impact on brain function in both healthy and sick individuals. However, human studies are still pending.

The first identified cannabnoid is CBN, which is formed by the contact between THC and oxygen. Therefore, this substance is formed in THC-containing products increased during long storage. In addition to the oxygen, the temperature also plays an important role; at elevated temperatures, CBN is formed significantly faster. An interesting application of CBN is psoriasis, as CBN inhibits the production of skin cells.

Other Ingredients

Terpenes, or essential oils, are present in only small concentrations in the hemp plant. Nevertheless, it has been scientifically proven that these secondary metabolites can also have a medically relevant effect.

The terpenes include a variety of substances, whereby limonene makes up a large part of all terpenes in the hemp plant. It is an anxiety-relieving substance, but it can also have many other positive effects on the body.
Furthermore, the essential oil myrcene is one of the terpenes of the hemp plant, which inhibits inflammation but also has a sedative effect.

In addition to these two terpenes are countless other terpenes contained in hemp plants, which have similar effects.

Flavonoids are also secondary metabolites that help the plant protect itself against environmental influences such as UV radiation. Like the terpenes, the flavonoids also have a medically relevant effect and can therefore support the effect of the cannabinoids.
